Brian Mark Real Estate is a market leader in real estate in Melbourne’s growing western suburbs, with a great reputation for customer service. It won “Office of the Year” for three consecutive years from 2008-2011 in the Australasian Real Estate Awards.
In the past, the firm managed its customer database via excel spreadsheets. Yet growth was causing an administrative headache for sales and administration staff, with records being duplicated between spreadsheets. Sales staff couldn’t access their customer records quickly or easily.
To increase the performance and reliability of the customer database – while protecting its integrity – Hordern IT was engaged to build a robust and user friendly web-based customer management system.
The Hordern IT Solution
After assessing the existing systems in use at Brian Mark Real Estate, we built a hosted Customer Relationship Management (CRM) web application. Based in the cloud, users from multiple sites can access the records whenever they need to.
Upon login to the site, a user is presented with the records they have been granted privileges to, and can then perform any functions assigned to that record (e.g. export, add, edit, delete records, print, user administration etc).
Nightly backups are stored for 30 days, to ensure timely and efficient restoration of data if required.
As part of the implementation process, Hordern IT also assessed the integrity of the data stored in the spreadsheets and re-classified duplicate records.
