Background
A point of sale system is the lifeblood of retail outlets. Upgrading these systems can have a significant impact on resources and involve maintaining a skillset for older legacy systems. Both are expensive and carry risk, and take staff away from other work.
What we did
HordernIT have staff with years of skills and experience in legacy products and technology. We were able to plan and complete the POS upgrade in liaison with the on site team. This included a significant Java upgrade.
Results
Target were able to upgrade to the latest version of the POS without significant disruptions to stores or to other IT Staff working on other projects.
